Russia and Turkey are entering a new phase in their negotiations to replace brands that are leaving Russia with Turkish brands. This was announced by Dmitry Moskalenko, President of the Russian Council of Shopping Centers.
"We are entering a new phase of negotiations on replacing brands leaving Russia with Turkish brands. We forecast that this fall there will be 3 million square meters [of retail space] vacant in the retail sector across Russia, equal to 420 soccer fields. For Turkish brands that are not yet in Russia, we are providing the opportunity to get acquainted with [sites] in the best shopping centers, starting from Moscow. We are negotiating so that Turkish companies will stay in Russia for a long time and make profitable investments," he was quoted as saying by Hürriyet newspaper on Monday.
