Russia is optimistic about finalizing a free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the upcoming months, Russian Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov said during his address at the Innoprom International Industrial Exhibition.
"We are placing significant emphasis on improving the conditions for mutual trade. We anticipate the removal of excessive barriers to mutual trade in the near future. We are hopeful to conclude a preferential trade agreement within the coming months. Our Minister of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Andrei Slepnev, will engage with our counterparts from the Emirates on the sidelines of this forum," Alikhanov stated.
The Innoprom International Industrial Exhibition is being held in Yekaterinburg from July 8-11, with TASS serving as the exhibition's general news agency.
