In 2024, Russia exported almost 64 million tons of grain and processed grain products to 40 Muslim-majority countries, according to Tatyana Menlikeyeva, Director of the Federal Agricultural Safety and Quality Assessment Center's branch in Tatarstan. The announcement was made during the KazanForum—the Russia-Islamic World International Economic Forum.

Main importers: Egypt, Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Algeria, and Libya.
These countries accounted for 74% of total exports.
Wheat was the dominant export, making up 44 million tons shipped to 36 countries.
Barley was second, with 6.6 million tons exported.
However, a decline was noted in early 2025:
Q1 2025 exports to Muslim countries dropped to 11 million tons, compared to 24 million tons in Q1 2024.
