Russia increased agro-export to Tunisia six times in January-July

Russia exported 428,000 tons of food to Tunisia in January - July 2021, worth $112 million, six times more than a year earlier. The volume of shipments increased 4.5 times, according to Agroexport.


The leading position in the structure of shipments is barley. Thus, during the reporting period in Tunisia, 330 thousand tons of grain were exported (4.2 times more than in January - July 2020), worth $ 76 million (5.1 times more).


Russia also delivered 17 thousand tons of soybean oil worth $18 million and 70 thousand tons of wheat worth $17 million. Last year these products were not supplied during the same period. At the same time the export of molasses to Tunisia decreased in physical terms by 17% - to 10 thousand tons, but in value terms - increased by 30%, to $ 1.5 million.
