Rosselkhoznadzor announced that from 17 December it will allow the import of tomatoes from four more Azerbaijani enterprises into Russia.
Geotermal (Kurdemir region), Shukurov Ilkin Mirzakhan (Masalli region), Gp Alfa greenhouse LLC (Salyan region) and Hajigabul greenhouse LLC (Gajigabud region) will be able to import their products under the guarantees of the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan.
It is emphasized that no insect pests have been found in products from these districts before.
On the previous day, the agency allowed to deliver tomatoes grown by Agroterm LLC in Khizi district to Russia.
Since December 10 Rosselkhoznadzor banned imports of apples and tomatoes from Azerbaijan to Russia after the products were repeatedly found pests - South American tomato moth and Oriental fruit moth.
Azerbaijan is a major supplier of fruits and vegetables to Russia. The country ranked first in supplies of fresh and chilled tomatoes.
