Russian grain producers have successfully shifted their focus toward export markets in the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia, Inna Zaichenko, the First Deputy Director of the Federal Center for Safety and Quality Assessment of Agribusiness Products, during the "Grain of Russia" forum currently held in the Sirius Federal Territory.
"We have indeed reoriented ourselves toward the countries of the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia," Zaichenko remarked regarding the current export trends. "We are delivering excellent volumes with high-quality metrics that fully meet the specific requirements of these nations."
She further identified the primary importers of Russian grain as Turkey, Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Algeria, and Kazakhstan. This shift underscores a broader trend in Russian agriculture to secure long-term partnerships outside of traditional Western markets.
The 10th International Agricultural Forum "Grain of Russia" is taking place in Sirius on February 19–20, 2026. The event serves as a major platform for industry experts to discuss the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing the Russian agrarian business today.
