Russian-Iranian Trade Surges by 22% in 2025

Trade turnover between Russia and Iran grew by 22% over the past year, and Moscow is working to minimize the remaining barriers with Tehran, Russian Vice Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said at the forum "Architecture of the Future: Russian Business on Key Multilateral Platforms."


"Last year, a full-scale agreement with Iran came into effect. According to the figures we have, and the agreement began operating on May 15, trade has grown by 22%," the vice prime minister said. "We are, of course, working to minimize the barriers that remain in our mutual trade."
