Russia increased its exports of poultry meat and offal to African nations in 2025. According to preliminary estimates from the federal center "Agroexport," shipments grew 3.5 times in value and 2.4 times in volume, reaching over 35,000 tons with a total value exceeding $51 million.
"According to preliminary expert estimates, Russia supplied more than 35,000 tons of poultry meat and offal to African countries in 2025, totaling over $51 million. In 2024, exports stood at roughly 14,500 tons worth nearly $15 million. Thus, the volume of deliveries grew 2.4 times by weight and 3.5 times in monetary terms," the agency reported to TASS.
The data reveals that the top five purchasers of Russian poultry by value were Benin ($21 million), the Democratic Republic of the Congo ($11 million), Ghana ($6 million), Mozambique ($4 million), and Guinea (over $3 million).
"Agroexport" also highlighted several market expansions in 2025, noting the first-ever poultry shipments to the Central African Republic and Sudan. Additionally, Russia resumed exports to several countries where trade had previously stalled, including Sierra Leone and Djibouti (inactive since 2017), Tanzania (since 2020), Gambia (since 2018), and both Morocco and Togo (since 2023).
