Saudi Arabia holds Russian companies in high regard for their advanced technological capabilities, Pavel Bulgakov, CEO of Callisto Vision, told TASS ahead of the Innoprom Saudi Arabia forum.
“Middle Eastern businesses, while preferring established players, are now looking with surprise at the emergence of new companies offering fundamentally different technological potential,” Bulgakov said. “What’s happening in Russia is essentially a planetary-scale experiment—virtually the entire spectrum of consumer goods is being marked and tracked.”
He noted that many countries, including Egypt, Algeria, South Africa and South Korea, are closely studying Russia’s experience as a model for protecting end consumers and optimizing state oversight. “Western partners who exited the Russian market have deprived themselves of development opportunities. They still don’t know how to operate at the technological level we’ve already achieved,” Bulgakov added.
