Roscongress has announced the business program for the international forum “Russian Energy Week — 2025” (REN), which will be held in Moscow from October 15 to 17.
Among the notable participants are Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, and OPEC Secretary-General Haitham Al Ghais. Other distinguished guests include Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi and Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak commented on the forum’s significance, highlighting that Russian Energy Week remains a key platform for discussing the most pressing trends in the modern fuel and energy sector. “This year, participants will address critical issues concerning industry development, new challenges, obstacles, and the successes of collaborative efforts. The program is tailored to meet the sector’s demand for innovation and new production approaches,” said Novak.
Key discussion topics will include improving efficiency in traditional energy resource management, strategies for production and processing development, and prospects for low-carbon energy. Novak expressed confidence that the forum will strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation among government bodies, corporations, and companies.
The forum’s agenda features over 60 thematic sessions and business dialogues with more than 100 speakers. The events are structured into four main blocks: “International Cooperation,” “Sustainable Development: Adapting to a New Reality,” “Technology as a Key Driver of Energy Development,” and “Russia’s Fuel and Energy Complex: Development Strategy.” The central highlight will be the plenary session.
Besides the business agenda, REN—2025 will host an exhibition of equipment and technologies for the fuel and energy sector at Gostiny Dvor, the prestigious international “Global Energy” award ceremony honoring outstanding scientific and technical achievements, and the Youth Day program.
Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of Russia and the executive secretary of the REN—2025 organizing committee, underscored that the program reflects today’s critical challenges, including achieving technological leadership, social orientation of energy, and balancing traditional and new energy sources to ensure sustainable national development. He emphasized the importance of strengthening international ties within the fuel and energy complex and Russia’s role in the global energy arena.
