Russian travelers shelled out the highest amounts for hotel stays in April 2025 in two very different destinations: Switzerland and Chechnya. According to a study by the travel planning service OneTwoTrip, a ten-day stay at a five-star hotel in Zurich cost one tourist 1.3 million rubles (with breakfast included), making it the priciest booking of the month.
Meanwhile, the costliest domestic booking was in Grozny, where a 13-day stay in a non-starred hotel for an adult and a child came to 520,000 rubles—despite the lack of stars, breakfasts were included.
Internationally, the second most expensive trip was a family vacation for four in Muscat, Oman. They spent eight days in a five-star hotel with breakfast for 1.3 million rubles. Close behind was a 20-day trip for two to Washington, D.C., which came in at 1.25 million rubles for accommodation in a four-star hotel without meals.
Other luxury bookings included a nine-day stay for three in Dubai (1.21 million rubles, two meals per day included), and a six-day all-inclusive stay for two in the Maldives (936,000 rubles).
Within Russia, Kaliningrad took second and third place. A single night for three people in a five-star hotel with breakfast cost 458,000 rubles, while a 10-day stay for two in a four-star hotel without meals totaled 365,000 rubles.
Also on the list were vacations in Adler and Pyatigorsk. A week-long family holiday in Sochi’s Adler district cost 293,000 rubles for a five-star hotel stay with breakfasts. Meanwhile, two people spent 12 days in a five-star hotel in the Caucasian Mineral Waters region for 278,000 rubles, also with breakfast included.
