Taliban-appointed deputy head of Afghan cabinet meets with Russian investors in Kabul

Abdul Salam Hanafi, who has been appointed by the radical Taliban (banned in Russia), who seized power in Afghanistan, as deputy chairman of the interim cabinet, has met with a delegation of Russian investors in Kabul, Zabihullah Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Information and Culture in the Taliban-formed interim government, said on Monday

"Hanafi met in his office with a joint delegation of Afghan and Russian investors. At this meeting, oil and gas production, the establishment of specialized processing plants, compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas production systems, as well as the establishment of a cement production facility were discussed in detail," the radicals' spokesman wrote on his Twitter page.

 

The deputy head of the Afghan interim cabinet assured that "there would be a good environment and infrastructure for investors in Afghanistan".

 

The Taliban did not specify who exactly was in the joint delegation.

 

On December 21 last year, Arifullah Arif, the Taliban's Deputy Head of the Ministry of Water and Energy in the interim Afghan government, met with representatives of the Russian embassy in Kabul to discuss cooperation with Russia in the field of energy and water resources.
