Tatarstan Aims to Increase Halal Product Exports to $17 Million

13 February

Tatarstan plans to boost its halal product exports to $17 million in 2025, exceeding the 2024 figure by $3 million. This was announced by Rustem Gainullov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic, during the Kazan Agro exhibition.

“Halal product exports amounted to $14 million in 2024. The target for 2025 is $17 million, and we will work hard to exceed this goal,” Gainullov said.

Previously, it was reported that Tatarstan’s halal products are primarily exported to countries within the Customs Union, the Persian Gulf, and North Africa. Efforts are also underway to explore new markets.

In 2023, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan reported that the republic’s halal exports reached approximately $11 million.
