Tatarstan intends to establish a trade representative office in Oman, Rais of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov announced.
“Oman is also of interest to us, and we plan to open our trade office there,” Minnikhanov told reporters.
The Tatarstan leader highlighted the republic’s active engagement with Islamic world countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.
“The Islamic world has not turned away from Russia. Nearly half of our trade turnover comes from Organization of Islamic Cooperation member states,” he emphasized.
According to Minnikhanov, there is mutual interest in deepening ties. Tatarstan aims to promote its petrochemical and machinery products in these markets while expanding cooperation in tourism, sports, culture, and joint projects.
“We’ll ramp up efforts with Oman in the near future,” he concluded.
