The Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, working with industry partners, has developed a new blockchain-based financial model—TatCoin—for attracting partnership capital. Vice President of the Academy, Ayrat Khasyanov, introduced the concept at Kazan Digital Week 2025.
“This model brings funding through blockchain. TatCoin itself is a digital asset. Its value lies in enabling emission of digital assets in friendly jurisdictions and on friendly blockchain platforms,” Khasyanov explained.
According to him, TatCoin fully complies with Islamic finance principles, allowing the republic to attract international investment. The mathematical foundation is robust and the model is ready to launch.
