Tokayev: Russian Investment in Kazakhstan Reaches $27 Billion

12 November

The total volume of accumulated Russian investment in Kazakhstan has exceeded $27 billion, while the Republic has invested approximately $9 billion in Russia. These figures reflect the strong momentum of bilateral cooperation, though further enhancement is needed. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made these remarks during a video address to participants of the two countries' Interregional Cooperation Forum in Uralsk.

“In 2024, Russian investment reached a record level of $4 billion. The total accumulated volume of Russian investment in Kazakhstan, according to our data, has now surpassed $27 billion. In turn, Kazakh investments in Russia amount to around $9 billion,” Tokayev stated.

The Kazakh leader noted that over 20,000 companies with Russian participation operate in the Republic, contributing significantly to economic development. “These impressive indicators clearly demonstrate the strong momentum of our cooperation. I believe we should not rest on these achievements but must steadily move forward, expanding trade and investment,” Tokayev added.
