Trade Turnover Between Azerbaijan and Russia Increases by 11.6% in First Three Quarters

The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia from January to September 2024 amounted to $3.499 billion, according to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

 

In the same period in 2023, the trade turnover was $3.134 billion, reflecting an 11.6% increase year-on-year.

 

The committee reported that over the nine months, Azerbaijan’s exports to Russia totaled $859.311 million, a slight decrease of 0.5%, while imports from Russia reached $2.639 billion, a growth of 16.3%.

 

 

Russia ranks as Azerbaijan’s third-largest trading partner after Italy and Turkey. Trade with Russia accounted for 10.14% of Azerbaijan’s foreign trade during this period.

 

For the entire year of 2023, trade between Azerbaijan and Russia increased by 17.5% compared to the previous year, reaching $4.358 billion. Russia’s share of Azerbaijan’s total foreign trade in 2023 stood at 8.52%.
