The volume of trade turnover between Russia and Kazakhstan increased by $2 bln up to $26 bln at the end of 2022, Vice-President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce Vladimir Padalko reported at the meeting of the Russian-Kazakh business council of the Russian Chamber of Commerce.
"According to the results of last year, our trade turnover with Kazakhstan reached a record level of $26 billion. And we added 10 percent by 2021, taking into account that in 2021 our trade turnover increased by 30 percent," he said.
The Russian-Kazakh business council has been working since 2006. On the Russian side it involves 65 organizations from 16 regions of the country.
According to Head of the Chamber of Commerce Sergey Katyrin, there are good prerequisites for increasing bilateral ties in mechanical engineering, energy, chemical industry, agriculture and agro-industrial complex, in high technology, innovation and digitalization. There are also great opportunities for joint work in the field of industrial cooperation, including in free economic zones.
