Tsivilev: Russia Intends to Continue Economic Cooperation with Iran

05 March

Russia intends to continue its economic cooperation with Iran, including work on promising new projects, Minister of Energy and co-chair of the permanent Russian-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, Sergey Tsivilev, told reporters when he arrived at the residence of the Iranian Ambassador in Moscow to offer his condolences and sign the book of condolence.

"We worked very well during the intergovernmental commission that was held recently. I spoke there alongside the Iranian minister, my colleague and my friend. We spoke about the agreements we reached. I believe this is a breakthrough," he said.

"They will not be stopped, regardless of any trials. We will continue our work with Iran. We have now signed a joint agreement within the intergovernmental commission and established a work schedule for all the areas we agreed upon. And we will strive, despite all these trials, to stick to this schedule," the minister added.
