Turkish Ambassador to Russia and NOSTROI agreed on bilateral visits of construction companies

Ambassador of Turkey to Russia Mehmet Samsar and president of the National Union of Builders (NOSTROI) Anton Glushkov at a meeting in Moscow agreed to prepare bilateral visits of Russian and Turkish construction business representatives in 2022, the press service of the association reported on Thursday.


"Following the meeting the parties agreed to prepare next year bilateral visits of representatives of the construction business of the Russian and Turkish sides, as well as to prepare a meeting of the National Association of Builders and the Turkish Contractors Association (TMB) with the support of the Turkish Ambassador to Russia," stated the message.


It was reported that at the meeting Samsar and Glushkov also discussed the possibility of attracting Turkish investments in the Russian economy and the introduction of Turkish construction technologies in the Russian construction complex.


Samsar noted that since 1990, Turkish construction companies realized more than 2 thousand projects in Russia for the total sum of $85 billion. The ambassador expressed his hope for the help of the National Association of Builders in assisting Turkish builders.


According to the chief trade adviser of the Turkish embassy in Russia Alpher Eritan, 10 leading Turkish construction companies have already integrated into the Russian business, and this form of work is important for faster development. "Turkish companies have planned to implement construction contracts totaling more than $6 billion for 2021. To start new projects, including those in the Russian Far East, economic cooperation between the parties is important," the statement said.
