Uzbekistan signed 15 agreements on the results of Innoprom in Yekaterinburg

Representatives of Uzbekistan signed 15 agreements totaling $70 million at the Innoprom international industrial exhibition held in Yekaterinburg on July 4-7, General Consul  of Uzbekistan in Yekaterinburg Abdusalom Hatamov said at a press conference at the TASS Ural Regional Press Center on Thursday.

 

"More than 15 agreements totaling $70 million have been signed, I would like to highlight the activity of the Fergana region. <...> On the first day of the exhibition alone, export agreements worth $30.9 million were signed for special footwear, fruit and vegetable products, ready-made textiles and yarn. On the second day the amount increased by $4.7 million, which included dried fruits, yarn, baby diapers and horticultural products," he said.

 

According to the consul, the exhibition was attended by representatives of the automotive industry of Uzbekistan, which has localized production of spare parts, they can assist in matters of import substitution in Russia. Also producers of textile and silk products, leather goods and household appliances can replace Western goods.

 

The main theme of Innoprom 2022 was "Industrial Transition: From Challenges to New Opportunities", with Kazakhstan as the partner country. The event presented current domestic and joint developments in the field of production automation, new mobility, modern materials and other promising areas.
