The free trade agreements previously signed between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Indonesia, Mongolia, and the UAE are slated for ratification in 2026, according to Russian Vice Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk.
"Over the past year, we concluded three very important agreements. First, there is the agreement with our significant, long-standing, and good neighbor, Mongolia. We are working very closely with our friends and neighbors today to ensure this agreement is truly effective and mutually beneficial for both us and Mongolia. Then, of course, there is the UAE — a vital transport, financial, and economic hub in the Persian Gulf. And, of course, Indonesia, which is one of the world's largest economies," he noted during an interview with Rossiya-24.
According to Overchuk, work is underway on ratification to ensure the agreements enter into force. Regarding the timeline, he specified that this would happen in 2026. "We hope that the process between signing and entering into force will take approximately one year," the vice prime minister added.
