Chairman of the State Council of the Sultanate of Oman Abdulmalik Al Khalili has accepted an invitation from senators to make an official visit to Russia. Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko expressed hope that the visit would occur in the near future.
"We have extended an invitation to the chairman of the State Council to undertake an official visit to Russia, and I'm pleased to share that he has accepted our invitation. I am hopeful that this visit will occur in the near future," stated the chairperson of the Russian Federation Council during the plenary session.
She underscored that they are enhancing their collaboration with Russia-friendly Oman. "Oman aligns with many of Russia's foreign policy stances and exhibits a keen interest in broadening our cooperation," Matviyenko expressed.
The head of the Federation Council urged all parliamentary friendship groups and inter-parliamentary commissions to engage more actively with partner countries. "This is of utmost importance to us at this time," she emphasized.
