Russia faces a significant workload during its presidency of the UN Security Council (UNSC) in July, according to Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"The agenda is more than loaded, so there is a lot of work to be done. The Russian Federation is always committed to all its obligations, takes a responsible position, and calls on all other countries to do the same," Peskov stated, referring to Russia's assumption of the UNSC chairmanship.
On July 1, Russia took over the chairmanship of the UN Security Council for one month. The last time Russia coordinated the work of this key structure of the world organization was in April 2023.
