Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated in an interview with RT that the creation of a Palestinian state is inevitable from a historical perspective.
"The creation of a Palestinian state is inevitable in the historical context," stated the head of Russian diplomacy. At the same time, he noted that currently, most discussions on the future of the Gaza Strip "do not pay attention" to the establishment of a Palestinian state neighboring Israel.
Lavrov emphasized that halting the hostilities and taking measures to address humanitarian issues are the top priorities in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone. "The immediate and most urgent task is to stop the fighting and implement measures to address the widespread humanitarian problems," stated the Russian foreign minister.
