Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has landed in Turkey to participate in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum. His plane touched down at Antalya airport, as reported by a correspondent from TASS.
Ahead of the forum, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova announced in a briefing that Lavrov is set to engage in discussions with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, on the sidelines of the event.
The agenda for talks between the ministers is expected to encompass a broad spectrum of topics, with a primary focus on the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation across various domains of mutual interest, including trade, energy, security, banking, and tourism. Additionally, plans for upcoming bilateral engagements at different levels will be outlined.
In addition to his meeting with Fidan, Lavrov is scheduled to conduct several bilateral meetings during the forum. Among the officials he is set to meet are Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev, and King Mswati III of Eswatini.
