Putin and Iranian President Discuss Palestinian-Israeli Conflict During Talks

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi engaged in extensive discussions, covering topics such as the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and various aspects of their bilateral partnership, according to statements from Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

 

"Extensive and fruitful discussions occurred," - noted the Kremlin spokesman while commenting on the outcome. - "The key topics were highlighted in the initial presidential statements at the onset of the closed-door meeting. This encompassed discussions on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, bilateral relations characterized by a multifaceted partnership, and a synchronization of perspectives on various international affairs."

 

As Peskov pointed out, the presidents engaged in a highly substantive conversation for over two hours during the expanded meeting. "The ministers provided detailed reports within their respective domains, addressing existing challenges, proposing solutions, and outlining necessary steps to expedite further development," he added.

 

 

OPEC+

 

The discussions between Putin and Raisi included the topic of OPEC+ and the decisions made within the framework of this cooperative format.

 

"This topic was brought up during the discussions. The sides discussed the collaboration and cooperation within the framework of OPEC+, including the decisions made within the context of OPEC+," stated the Kremlin spokesman.

 

The last meeting between Putin and Raisi took place in September 2022 in Samarkand during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. During those talks, it was highlighted that Moscow and Tehran share close or coinciding positions on many international issues, and their cooperation across various domains continues to strengthen.
