Emphasizing the critical role of protection for the nation's people, Putin cautioned against complacency, warning that neglect could lead to a state of decrepitude. He vividly illustrated this point, underscoring the importance of defending Russian interests in regions like Donbass, the Kherson region, Zaporozhye, Novorossiya, and Crimea.
"For decades, we've witnessed sweet speeches, while others seek to undermine our competitive advantages by shaping rules favoring their interests," Putin said.
Nevertheless, he proudly proclaimed Russia's resilience and self-sufficiency, pointing to its economic stability amid global downturns. "While major economies falter, we stand strong, demonstrating to the world our capacity for self-reliance," he asserted.
Highlighting Russia's progress across diverse sectors, Putin commended advancements in high-tech industries and social welfare initiatives. "From economy to defense, from finance to social welfare, we're forging ahead as a self-sufficient nation," Putin declared. He underscored record-breaking achievements in housing construction, reflecting Russia's commitment to enhancing citizens' quality of life. "With 110 million square meters of housing constructed, we've set a historic milestone, demonstrating our unwavering dedication to progress," Putin concluded.
