Putin: Russia Makes Another Genuine Peace Proposal to Kiev

14 June

Russia is making another genuine peace proposal to Kiev, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced during a meeting with the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"Today we are making another concrete, genuine peace proposal to Kiev," he said.

The new Russian peace proposal aims for a complete resolution of the conflict, not just a freeze, Putin stated. "Let me emphasize the main point. Our proposal is not about a temporary truce or a ceasefire, as the West wants to replenish losses, rearm the Kiev regime, and prepare it for a new offensive. I repeat, this is not about freezing the conflict but about its final resolution," he said.

According to Putin, Russia believes that Ukraine should adopt a non-aligned and neutral status, undergo demilitarization, and denazification. "To reiterate, our principled position is as follows: a neutral, non-aligned, non-nuclear status for Ukraine, its demilitarization, and denazification. Moreover, these parameters were generally agreed upon during the Istanbul talks in 2022. Everything was clear on demilitarization, everything was documented, the number of tanks, everything was agreed upon," he said.
