Russian President Vladimir Putin will participate in an extraordinary summit of the Group of Twenty (G20) on Wednesday via video link, where discussions will focus on the global economy and finance, as reported by the Kremlin's press service.
"On November 22, 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin will participate in an extraordinary summit of the Group of Twenty in a video-conference format," the statement announced.
The announcement highlighted that the upcoming event aims to review the outcomes of the Indian presidency, addressing issues such as the global economy, finance, climate concerns, digitalization, and other pertinent topics. The online summit is being coordinated by the current G20 presidency held by India, and the proposal for a virtual meeting was put forth by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the in-person G20 summit in New Delhi on September 9-10.
