Russia, along with its partners, is preparing a resolution for the United Nations General Assembly aimed at countering neocolonialism, a topic that is increasingly being raised in high-level negotiations. This was reported to TASS by the Russian Foreign Ministry following the "Movement for the Freedom of Nations!" forum held in Vladivostok.
"Today, we are working with like-minded nations on a draft resolution for the UN General Assembly. Additionally, this issue is frequently discussed in high-level talks," - the ministry stated. - "The fight against neocolonialism is becoming a leading issue. The Russian Foreign Ministry attaches great importance to this and is fully supporting 'United Russia' in achieving these goals."
The meeting of the standing committee of the "Movement for the Freedom of Nations!" organized by "United Russia" was part of the international inter-party forum "The World Majority for a Multipolar World" in the format of "BRICS and Partner Countries."
"The issue of combating neocolonialism was met with understanding and interest from the countries of the global majority," - the ministry noted. - "This is inevitable given the current global realities. Over 30 countries participated in the international inter-party forum."
The Russian side emphasizes that this demonstrates a collective understanding of the need to address the problem together.
