Russian Military controls actions of NATO ships participating in Sea Breeze 2021 exercises

The Black Sea Fleet controls the actions of NATO and other countries' ships participating in the Sea Breeze 2021 exercise in the Black Sea. This was reported to journalists on Monday at the National Defense Management Center.


"The forces and facilities of the Black Sea Fleet are carrying out a set of measures to control the actions of NATO [Combined Maritime Forces] naval ships and other countries taking part in the Sea Breeze 2021 exercise, which started on June 28, 2021, in the northwestern part of the Black Sea," the center said.


According to the Russian military department, the exercise will be held from June 28 to July 10. Its main participants are Ukraine, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Latvia and partner countries. It is planned that about 4 thousand servicemen, 40 warships, boats and support vessels, 30 units of aviation technology and more than 100 vehicles and armored vehicles will be involved in exercises.


Earlier, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said that under the cover of the Sea Breeze 2021 exercise, modern weapons and ammunition will be supplied to Ukrainian troops and nationalist groups deployed near non-government-controlled areas in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
