Russian military monitors the actions of the US ship Mount Whitney in the Black Sea

The Black Sea Fleet began monitoring the actions of the US Navy's Mount Whitney ship that entered the waters of the Black Sea on Thursday, the Russian National defense management center told reporters on Thursday.


"The forces and means of the Black Sea Fleet began monitoring the actions of the US Navy staff ship Mount Whitney, which entered the Black Sea waters on November 4," the center said.
 



Earlier, the US Sixth Fleet said the flagship command ship Mount Whitney headed to the Black Sea to conduct joint operations with allies and NATO partners in the region.


In addition, the Russian military is monitoring the actions of the US Navy's guided-missile destroyer Porter, which entered the Black Sea on 30 October also to take part in joint operations with the North Atlantic Alliance.
