Putin Updates Structure of State Council Commissions

Russian President Vladimir Putin has revised the structure of the State Council commissions to better align with the socio-economic development goals of the country. The number of commissions has increased from 18 to 21, with some commissions being split and new ones introduced. The changes are outlined in a newly published document.

 

Key Changes

 

1. Separation of Commissions:

 

The former "Tourism, Physical Culture and Sports" commission is now divided into two separate commissions:
- Tourism: Led by Oleg Kozhemyako, Governor of Primorsky Krai.
- Physical Culture and Sports: Led by Dmitry Milyaev, Acting Head of Tula Region.

 

2. New Commissions:

 

- Northern Sea Route and the Arctic: Led by Andrei Chibis, Governor of Murmansk Region. This commission was announced by Putin during his speech at the plenary session of SPIEF.
- Data Economy: Led by Andrey Vorobyov, Head of Moscow Region.
- Personnel: Led by Vladislav Shapsha, Governor of Kaluga Region.
- International Cooperation and Export: Led by Alexander Tsybulsky, Head of Arkhangelsk Region.

 

Updated Leadership for Existing Commissions

 

- Economy and Finance: Led by Alexei Teksler, Head of Chelyabinsk Region.
- Efficient and Competitive Economy: Led by Pavel Malkov, Head of Ryazan Region.
- Efficient Transportation System: Led by Alexei Tsydenov, Head of Buryatia.
- State and Municipal Management: Continues to be led by Sergey Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow.
- Investments: Continues to be led by Valery Limarenko, Governor of Sakhalin Region.
- Energy: Now led by Aysen Nikolaev, Head of the Republic of Yakutia, replacing Sergei Tsivilev, who was appointed Minister of Energy.

 

Additional Changes


- Family: Led by Andrei Nikitin, Head of Novgorod Region, previously heading the "Social Policy" commission.
- Youth and Children: Led by Dmitry Artyukhov, Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, previously heading the "Youth Policy" commission.
