Putin congratulated Aliyev on his 60th birthday

Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on his 60th birthday. In a telegram published Friday on the Kremlin website, the Russian head of state stressed that he valued friendly relations with the Azerbaijani leader and expressed his intention to continue cooperation to develop the strategic partnership between the two countries.


"Please accept my warmest congratulations on the occasion of your 60th birthday. You enjoy well-deserved authority among compatriots and in the international arena as a wise and experienced statesman capable of taking balanced, far-sighted decisions even in the most difficult situations," Putin said in his congratulation to Aliyev. - "Under your leadership, Azerbaijan has achieved universally recognized successes in economic, social and other areas."


"I value our friendly relations. I will be glad to continue constructive and meaningful dialogue with you and work closely together for further development of Russian-Azerbaijani strategic partnership and strengthening regional stability and security," stresses the message of the Russian president to the Azerbaijani leader.


Putin wished Aliyev good health, prosperity and success, and conveyed his warm greetings to his family.


Ilham Aliyev celebrates his 60th birthday on Friday. During his 18 years in power, Azerbaijan has strengthened its position in the international arena, increased its foreign currency reserves 40-fold, achieved a significant improvement in living standards, implemented several major infrastructure projects and exported gas to Europe for the first time.
