In total, there are seven gold medals in the collection of schoolchildren from Russia. In Russia, the Olympiad was held in Dolgoprudny, Kazan, Kirov, Krasnodar, Kurgan, Moscow, Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg, Saransk, Saratov, Tyumen and the Sirius center (Sochi). The tests were held in written format. The tasks were divided into three levels of complexity: "Elementary Level" - for 8 grade, "Medium Level" - for 9–10 grades, and "Advanced Level" - for 11 grade (in Iran - for 11-12 grades).
"Four hours were given to solve the first level tasks; the second and third levels were given 4 hours and 30 minutes each. Eight points could be earned for completely solving each task correctly. Progress on the task was also taken into account and scored a certain number of points according to the criteria of the Iranian jury. After summing up the results inside the country, the best works were sent to Iran for summing up the global results", added in the department.
The system of accessible quality basic math education is actively developing in Moscow. Clubs and large-scale competitions, including the Mathematical Festival, the Lomonosov Tournament and the first stages of the All-Russian Olympiad contribute to the popularization of the subject. In addition, the city has the Math Vertical project, for which the city's leading teachers have developed special textbooks.
