Qatar's Ambassador to Moscow, Ahmed bin Nasser bin Jassim Al-Thani, has been awarded the title of Honorary Doctor of Kazan Federal University (KFU). The insignia was presented by University Rector Lenar Safin during the session "The Role of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in Sustainable Regional Development," held in the Imperial Hall of KFU as part of the "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum."
"Kazan Federal University is very famous in the world, particularly in Arab countries. This is the second time I come to Kazan and each time I visit KFU. So many people graduated from this university and became famous in the world. Many thanks to the Republic of Tatarstan and its government for their great contribution to the development of relations between Qatar and Tatarstan. Qatar-Russia relations have also been developing very strongly recently. Thank you to everyone who is present here, I wish everyone success," stated Ambassador Al-Thani.
The International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2024" is being held at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center, featuring over 120 thematic sessions with the participation of Russian and foreign experts.
