Roscosmos discussed the use of data from Russian satellites with representatives of Tajikistan

Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin held talks with Farhod Rakhimi, president of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan. This was reported by the state corporation on Thursday.


As Roscosmos clarified, the sides noted the importance of creating a normative legal framework for bilateral cooperation.
"[The parties] discussed issues of cooperation in the following promising areas: the use of capabilities of the Russian orbital constellation of remote sensing for scientific and socio-economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan; use of optical observation facilities of the Gissar Astronomical Observatory and the Sangloh Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Astrophysics Institute, etc.," the statement said.


The talks were also attended by Russian Space Systems CEO Andrei Tyulin, Glavkosmos CEO Dmitry Loskutov, Deputy CEO of TERRA TECH (a subsidiary of Russian Space Systems Holding, part of Roscosmos) Maxim Boltachev, and representatives of the Tajik embassy in Russia.
