The ballet troupe of the Primorsky stage of the Mariinsky Theatre has exciting international touring plans scheduled until the end of 2023. According to Eldar Aliyev, the artistic director of the troupe, they will be performing in St. Petersburg, Moscow, China and Qatar.
The tour will commence with performances of "A Thousand and One Nights" in St. Petersburg in August, followed by a tour to the Bolshoi Theater on the historical stage in September. In October, the ballet troupe is set to participate in the cultural days of Primorsky Krai in Harbin, China. During this event, the artists will perform the Russian classical ballet "The Sleeping Beauty," interpreted by the Primorsky stage of the Mariinsky Theater.
The highlight of their international touring schedule will be in December, when the Primorsky stage of the Mariinsky Theater ballet troupe visits Qatar. They will present four performances of "A Thousand and One Nights" in Qatar during the period from December 2 to 8.
However, due to their active touring plans, the troupe will not be able to perform "One Thousand and One Nights" in Primorye (Vladivostok) until at least 2024. The artistic director expressed his delight with the busy schedule but also mentioned that it is frustrating for Vladivostok residents, as they will have to wait until after the winter tour in St. Petersburg to see the performance locally.
