Bogdanov Discusses Worsening Situation in Gaza with Palestinian Ambassador

Mikhail Bogdanov, Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister, discussed the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip with Palestinian Ambassador to Moscow Abdel Hafiz Nofal. This information was provided in a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry.

 

"The sides exchanged views on the situation in the zone of Palestinian-Israeli confrontation against the backdrop of ongoing intense hostilities and the worsening humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip," the ministry stated.

 

The discussion also covered current issues regarding the further development of traditionally friendly Russian-Palestinian relations, with an emphasis on the importance of continuing a trusting political dialogue, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

 

The ministry emphasized that Russia reaffirmed its readiness to make efforts "aimed at the swift cessation of bloodshed and the provision of humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian population."

 

The meeting took place at the request of the Palestinian ambassador, the ministry specified.
