The Russian and Turkish delegations came closer to an agreement on the parameters of a ceasefire in Libya at the talks in Ankara, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said.
"Talks on Libya were held in Ankara yesterday, and today they are taking place on Syria. We can say that we got closer to an agreement on the parameters of a ceasefire in Libya," he said.
Interdepartmental talks between Russia and Turkey were held in Ankara on September 15 and 16.
The previous round of negotiations was held on August 31 and September 1 in Moscow. Before that, interdepartmental consultations between Russia and Turkey on the settlement in Libya were held on July 21-22 in Ankara. On the Russian side, the event was attended by the Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin, as well as representatives of the Defense Ministry, and on the Turkish side - the leadership of various departments headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkey Sedat Onal.
