Dmitry Peskov was hospitalized with the coronavirus

Press-Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov is infected with COVID-19.


The Kremlin spokesman said RIA Novosti that he was in the hospital.


Peskov is not the first representative of the government who was diagnosed with COVID-19.


On April 30, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin reported to the head of state that he had passed a positive test for the disease.


On May 1, it became known about the hospitalization of the head of the Ministry of Construction Vladimir Yakushev, on May 6-the Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova.


In Russia, more than 232 thousand infected with the coronavirus have now been identified, and more than 2100 patients died.


In the world, more than four million people were infected with the coronavirus, and at least 278 thousand of them died.
