Erdogan expressed his deep condolences to Putin over Kazan tragedy

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan expressed deep condolences in a telephone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin over the tragedy at the Kazan school, the Kremlin press service reported on Wednesday.


"The Turkish president expressed his deep condolences in connection with the tragic events in a school in Kazan, asked to convey words of sympathy to the families of the victims and wishes for a speedy recovery to the victims," the statement said.


On Tuesday a former student of school No. 175 in Kazan started shooting in the educational institution. As a result, nine people were killed, including seven children, 23 victims are in hospitals. The attacker was detained. A case was opened on the fact of the shooting about the murder of two or more people.


All the dead were identified the day before. May 12 is announced to be the day of mourning in Tatarstan.
