Erdogan: Possible to Negotiate with Putin Despite Differences

11 July

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan believes that discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin are feasible even when there are differences in their positions.

"Of course, we do not agree with Mr. Putin on everything. However, we can discuss different issues between us and go into the details of their solution," Erdogan stated in a commentary for the Newsweek magazine. He emphasized that Ankara does not pursue "a policy burdened by prejudice" and seeks a reasonable approach to problem-solving.

Erdogan is attending a NATO summit in Washington from July 9 to 11. The alliance is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the signing of the North Atlantic Treaty in 2024.
