Hamas will uphold the principles of the ceasefire agreement if Israel reciprocates in kind, Head of the Palestinian movement Hamas' Politburo Ismail Haniyeh announced on the Qatari TV channel Al Jazeera.
"We reassert our dedication to the implementation of the truce agreement, contingent upon the enemy's compliance," stated Haniyeh.
"Over the past period, our brethren in Egypt and Qatar have made significant diplomatic efforts to achieve this agreement. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to these two nations and declare our readiness to sustain cooperation with them," he emphasized.
Haniyeh urged the Russian Federation, China, and Arab and Islamic nations to persist in diplomatic endeavors in support of the Palestinian people. "We emphasize the significance of ongoing diplomatic efforts by Arab, Islamic, and friendly countries, particularly Russia and China, to enable our people to achieve their aspirations for freedom and independence," he stated.
