10 January

Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi has officially confirmed the involvement of two suicide bombers in the Kerman blasts with the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS, banned in Russia).

"The terrorists, who were members of IS, illegally entered Iranian territory through the border with a neighboring country," stated Vahidi, as reported by IRNA.

Additionally, the minister verified that at least one of the attackers involved in the incident was a Tajik national.
