Negotiations between Syria and Turkey on security can succeed with Russia's assistance, Iranian Foreign Minister's Senior Advisor for Political Affairs Ali Asghar Khaji said on Wednesday following the 19th international meeting on Syria in the Astana format.
"To date, Turkey is fulfilling its obligations in the security talks with Syria, and with Russia's help, these talks can achieve their result," he said.
The Iranian diplomat stressed the need to implement the agreements reached and signed by the three countries that are guarantors of the Syrian settlement in the Astana format.
"These commitments must not be violated," he added. - "At present, while there are some inconsistencies, which can be discussed in a working order, all three guarantor countries, including Turkey, are fulfilling their obligations, and in general we are satisfied with this."
