Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian stated that time is playing against Israel and the United States in the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian radical movement Hamas.
"The past six weeks of Palestinian resistance in Gaza have demonstrated that time is working against Israel and the US. They are the ones losing credibility in the eyes of public opinion worldwide," stated the foreign policy chief of the Islamic republic.
Abdollahian underscored that the future of Gaza and all of Palestine cannot be dictated from external sources. "The destiny of the Gaza Strip and the entire Palestinian territory will be decided solely by the Palestinians themselves," he stated.
The Iranian foreign minister made an unannounced visit to Lebanon on Wednesday. Details about his meetings during the visit have not been disclosed. Prior to Abdollahian's arrival, a Hamas delegation also arrived in Lebanon and was received by Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of the Shiite Hezbollah party.
