Kremlin Officially Announces Upcoming Meeting Between Putin and Erdogan

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan are set to engage in a forthcoming meeting, the details of which, including the exact location and date, will be disclosed at a later time. Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for President Putin, told reporters.

 

"The meeting will happen shortly, and we will provide the details in due course," he mentioned during a briefing when asked about the potential for the talks to occur on Russian territory.

 

Peskov clarified that he is currently unable to provide further specifics. "There are specific arrangements regarding the timing of the announcement, and we plan to honor these arrangements," stated the Kremlin's spokesperson.

 

Previously, a diplomatic source in Turkey informed TASS that a meeting between Putin and Erdogan was scheduled in Sochi, with September 4 being mentioned as a potential date. Turkish media also reported that Erdogan aims to discuss the possibility of renewing the grain agreement during his talks with the Russian counterpart.
