Moscow remains committed to ensuring that the underlying causes of the Ukraine conflict—deliberately orchestrated by the West—are addressed as part of any resolution. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made this statement during a press conference following talks with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son.
"We have shared our perspective on Ukraine with our Vietnamese counterparts and will continue working toward a settlement that includes the mandatory elimination of the root causes behind this crisis—or rather, the root causes of its deliberate creation by Western sponsors of the Kyiv regime, which came to power through an unconstitutional coup," Lavrov stated.
He also expressed Russia’s appreciation for Vietnam’s "consistent, balanced, and objective stance on the origins of the Ukraine crisis and the ongoing developments surrounding it."
